  • Michael Jackson Memorial Gets TV Coverage

    Tickets are at a premium to attend Tuesday's Michael Jackson memorial at the Staples Center, but there will be no shortage of coverage on TV.

    ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment are all planning live coverage of the tribute to the King of Pop, according to the Associated Press.

    Charles Gibson will handle the duties for ABC, CBS is sending Katie Couric, while NBC, which has no plans for live coverage, has set aside one-hour in primetime on Tuesday night for a special.



  • The Latest Details: Michael Jackson Memorial

    Next Tuesday's public memorial service for Michael Jackson will be an event of "extraordinary" scope that could present unique challenges for the city of L.A, officials said on Friday. Read on to find out how to get tickets to the memorial or watch it on TV!

    Registration for the memorial tickets is taking place at the Staples Center Web site until 6 p.m. today. As of 9 a.m. today, 1,223,978 people had registered for tickets to the Michael Jackson memorial service. Then, on Sunday, 8,750 people will be chosen at random to receive two tickets apiece.

    On "Larry King Live" on Friday night, Kenny Ortega told listeners that he will be directing the program for the memorial service. He will meet with AEG about the program, but he says his direction will be guided by the family.



  • Update: Madonna Thrills with Michael Jackson Tribute

    Madonna paid special tribute to Michael Jackson when she resumed her Sticky & Sweet tour in London Saturday night.

    Madonna performed a special song and dance number in memory of Michael, according to the Associated Press. First, a photo of a young Michael was shown on stage, while Madonna performed "Holiday." This was followed by the entrance of an MJ impersonator, dressed in homage to the late King of Pop.

    The concert took place at London's O2 arena, where Michael was slated to stage his 50-date tour.



  • A Rabbi Says Michael Jackson Was a Good Father

    Michael Jackson was concerned that his kids grow up with the right values, according to a rabbi.

    Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the King of Pop's former friend and spiritual adviser, tells the Associated Press that when he brought his children over to play with Michael's children at Neverland Ranch, when his children ran to play on the rides, Michael reminded his three -- Michael Prince, daughter Paris-Michael and Prince "Blanket" -- that the rides were only for special occasions.

    Rabbi Boteach, who eventually had a falling out with MJ, goes on to tell the wire service: "To the extent that Michael Jackson's kids COULD have a normal life, he wanted them to have it."



  • 'Harry Potter' Star Gets Swine Flu

    The agent for a 'Harry Potter' star reports his client contracted swine flu.

    Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Wesley in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise, is recovering from a mild case of swine flu, according to the Associated Press.

    Christian Hodell of Hamilton Hodell Management told the wire service that it was necessary for the actor to take a few sick days off from shooting the latest installment in the film series, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,' but he is back to work now.
