This hits home for several, several reasons.

Patrick Swayze, best known as a pop culture GOD for his role as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. His publicist revealed today that he is responding well to treatment and that he hopes to be back to work very soon, refuting reports by the National Enquirer that he only has 5 weeks to live.

I want to cry SO BAD right now. Cancer is such a disgusting disease :(. 

Patrick Swayze was the celebrity "love of my life". True story. To this day, I can still recite the names of every movie he's ever done, useless facts about him, and by the age of 10 I had memorized the entire Dirty Dancing script, choreography, and song list. My version of the typical kid running-away-from-home plot scenario when I was 11 involved me hitchhiking to California, where Patrick would miraculously rescue me and teach me all about Arabian horses and Texas.  Swayze Crazy? You said it, Patsy Cline!
